Mango Parent is built to be private by design. This policy explains what data exists, where it lives, and what leaves your device.
Your profile (your name, your children's names and ages, your partner's name), your parent profile (what you selected about how you run under pressure, your triggers, what helps you, what you're working on, and your own upbringing), your goal and its weekly check-ins, reflections, quick check-ins, mood history, lesson progress, virtue scores, streaks, and preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not operate accounts and do not store this data on our servers. Deleting the app (or using Settings → Erase all data) removes it.
When you use the AI Coach or Parent Replay, the text you write plus a short context line is sent to an AI provider to generate a response. That line contains your children's first names, ages, and any optional notes you entered about them — which may include health information you chose to share, such as a diagnosis — along with the parent-profile selections you made about yourself and the goal you are working on. What you selected about your own upbringing is included only when you are talking to the Coach; it is never sent from Parent Replay, weekly reviews, or monthly reports.
• If you linked your own API key (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google), your message goes directly from your device to that provider under their privacy terms.
• If you use Mango Parent Plus coaching, your message passes through our coaching relay (Cloudflare) to Anthropic's Claude API. We do not log or store your messages, and we do not use them for advertising. Anthropic's API terms apply to processing.
The built-in offline coach works entirely on your device — nothing is sent anywhere.
If you turn on the app passcode, the code itself is never stored — not in the app's data, not on our servers. Only a salted, one-way hash of it is kept in your device's secure keychain, and it is deleted when you turn the lock off. Face ID and Touch ID are handled entirely by your device; we never see them.
No ads. No sale of data. No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. No data brokerage. Ever.
Daily reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. They do not involve our servers.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We receive anonymized subscription status, never your payment details.
Mango Parent is designed for and directed at adults (parents and caregivers). It is not intended for use by children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Children's names and ages that you enter are stored only on your device, except first names/ages included in AI coaching requests as described above.
You can use the app without AI features, without entering real names, and without notifications. Your parent profile is optional in whole and in part — every section, including the one about your own upbringing, can be left blank or cleared later, and clearing it removes it from anything sent to the coach. You can erase all data at any time in Settings.
